What can I do for free?

Optimize up to 5 JSON files per batch, as often as you need. Preview animations, copy JSON, and save a new file or replace the original with a local backup. The Mac app also includes 3 successful video or GIF exports per Mac. JSON optimization remains available after those exports are used up.

What does LottieGo Pro unlock?

Pro removes the JSON batch-size limit, unlocks unlimited MP4, transparent MOV and GIF exports, and enables Apple Shortcuts and lottiego:// URL automation. It is a one-time in-app purchase, not a subscription. Check the Pro window in the app for the current price in your region.

How do the 3 free exports work?

The allowance counts successfully exported files, not export sessions. Exporting 3 animations in one batch uses all 3 exports. Failed or canceled exports do not count. The allowance is shared across MP4, MOV and GIF on that Mac and does not renew daily or monthly. If a batch exceeds your remaining exports, select fewer files or unlock Pro.

Can I restore my Pro purchase?

Yes. Use Restore Purchases in the app with the Apple Account used to buy Pro. Apple handles the purchase and verification; you do not need a separate LottieGo account. Restoring Pro is different from replenishing the free export allowance.

What does LottieGo optimize?

LottieGo processes Lottie JSON files. It trims redundant metadata, removes supported watermark layers and unused hidden layers, and rounds numeric precision. Check the preview before using the result, especially for animations with fine detail or expressions.

What stays on my device?

The Mac app processes and exports files locally. The web optimizer also processes JSON in your browser without uploading your file. Its preview player is loaded from Lottielab’s CDN; animations that reference external images may load those images from their source.

Can I export an animation with a transparent background?

Yes. Choose MOV in the Mac app for HEVC with alpha. All 3 export formats are available within your free export allowance, and Pro unlocks unlimited exports. MP4 and GIF require a solid background in LottieGo.

How is the web tool different from the Mac app?

The web demo optimizes and downloads real JSON files, but its video exports are simulations: no video file is created and no Mac export allowance is used. Demo controls do not represent an unlocked Pro license. The Mac app includes 5-file optimization batches and 3 successful exports for free; larger batches, unlimited exports, Shortcuts and URL automation require Pro.

Will my original files be changed?

The web tool downloads a separate optimized file. In the Mac app, you choose between a new file and replacing the original. Replace mode creates a local backup, with a restore action available in the app.
